==== What is a Tracker? ====
* Trackers are unique (IDs) included in a linking code you can use to analyze the efficiency of specific campaigns.
* By analyzing click thru's and conversion ratios for each unique Tracker ID you can determine which of your advertising methods are working best.
* Tracker ID's are good for tracking performance of different tours, different text & banner links, and for split testing your different campaigns. Clicks, sales and income for each tracker ID will be recorded and reported.
==== How does it work? ====
Unique Tracker IDs are included in the affiliate ID linking codes.
To create a Tracker ID:
- click 'Add'.
* NOTE: Tracker ID's can only be created using 'Add' to function properly, and cannot be coded manually.
- Enter a 12 character name and a short description if necessary to help identify the different Tracker ID's
* To see a list of Tracker ID's click 'Show'.
* Only Tracker ID's in the SHOW list generate data for analysis.
* Tracker ID's listed can be deleted or edited individually or all at once.
In "Banner/Linkcodes" you can select an existing tracker when generating a code.
Doing so attaches the tracker to the link code which then tracks data for analysis.
**HINT:** It's best not to use a single tracker ID for promoting different sites.
**Example**
%%You promote the site hentai3d.com on sites www.yoursite1.com and www.yoursite2.com%%
- Add 2 new trackers: tracker 1 (name: yoursite1.com) and tracker 2 (name: yoursite2.com)
- Generate 2 banner codes, one with Tracker ID 1, the other with Tracker ID 2
- Place the banner code with Tracker ID 1 on your site yoursite1.com
- Place the banner code with Tracker ID 2 on your site yoursite2.com
The tracker analysis will show you how often a link with Tracker ID 1 is clicked on yoursite1.com and how many sales you make. The same type of information is recorded for Tracker ID 2
**IMPORTANT** \\
* Deleting a tracker deletes all associated data for reporting and analysis \\
* Any incoming data for a deleted Tracker ID is ignored \\
* Only exiting trackers generate data \\
* Incoming data of non-existing trackers are ignored \\
